Upcoming Local Surveys for the Tall Tree Wind Farm Environmental Studies

27 March 2026

As part of the preparation of the Environmental Effects Statement (EES) for the proposed Tall Tree Wind Farm, our project team and specialist consultants will be out in the community over the coming weeks undertaking important field work.

Visual Assessment Work

Our visual consultants will be visiting various viewpoints across the area to better understand how the project may be viewed and experienced from different locations. This includes taking photographs from selected public viewpoints, as well as some private property locations, to help inform the visual impact assessment.

These visits ensure the EES reflects the character of the local landscape and how nearby residents and community experience their surroundings.

Background Noise Monitoring

Our acoustic consultants will also be installing temporary noise loggers at several locations to measure existing background noise levels in the area. These loggers measure and record noise levels only - they do not record sounds or audio.

This monitoring is a standard and essential part of the Noise Impact Assessment, and helps ensure potential noise impacts are accurately understood and assessed against relevant standards.

Why this work matters

These activities contribute directly to the EES, which is designed to thoroughly assess potential environmental and community impacts before the project proceeds. They provide real, site‑specific data to support a robust and transparent assessment process.

We appreciate your patience while this work takes place. The equipment deployed is temporary and will be removed as soon as the surveys are complete.
