Help shape your local renewable energy project
This is your online community hub, where you can ask questions and give us feedback about the project.
Tall Tree Wind Farm is a proposed renewable energy project in Central West Victoria. The site is located in the Golden Plains Shire, West of Lethbridge, North of Teesdale & South of Meredith
The current project design includes up to 53 wind turbine generators and associated infrastructure, with a maximum installed capacity of approximately 330 MW. A wind farm project of this size has the potential to generate enough energy to power approximately 250,000 homes, and could create up to 270 jobs during peak construction, as well as up to 10-12 ongoing jobs during operations.
In Victoria, the Minister for Planning is the responsible authority for new planning permit applications of all wind energy generation facilities that are 1 megawatt or greater. If an Environment Effects Statement (EES) is required this process must be completed before the planning permit application can be determined. There will be opportunities for neighbours and the community to provide input and feedback throughout this process, and we welcome the opportunity to engage with you as the project progresses.
Currently, the proposed project is in the feasibility stage, with wind monitoring and environmental surveys ongoing at the site. We will continue to post updates on this page as they become available, and welcome your questions below.
