When we build our wind farms, we make a commitment to investing in that community – not only in terms of opportunities for jobs and suppliers, but also funded programs which support what each community needs.

At this early stage, we wanted to gather your ideas on what is important to include in a community benefit sharing program. To start this conversation, we’ve outlined our proposed framework below. We are also launching a neighbourhood benefits program, for those closest to the project (within 2.5kms), which we are consulting on separately.

Small Grants ProgramProgram supporting small, local initiatives (typically <$10k) that support a range of themes including healthcare, education, sustainability, community connections and cultural development.
Legal Investment ProgramLarge, longer-term program aimed at delivering a strategic benefit to the local community, for example through infrastructure initiatives, delivered in partnership with local or regional organisations. Initiatives could be delivered over a number of years.
Scholarship & Education ProgramProgram focused on supporting local secondary school students to undertake tertiary studies, for example at TAFE or university.

Whether your ideas are large or small, directed at an individual, a group or the whole community – we want to hear them. Please complete the form below. You can also get in touch if you prefer via email (talltree@acciona.com) or phone (1800 283550) to share your feedback. You are welcome to leave your feedback anonymously, or else share your details so that we can follow up to discuss further.
