There are many roles that will be available throughout all stages of our projects. What could you do? There is a huge variety but here are some examples:
At the earliest stage of development, our team is largely employed by ACCIONA Energia through our local office in each State – we operate throughout Australia. We do sometimes work with consultants also to deliver specialist aspects of our projects.
Once our projects are ready for construction, we work with contractors although we do still have a central team that manage this stage. This is when the most people are employed on our projects.
Once operations commence, we have a smaller team employed by ACCIONA Energía running the site on an ongoing basis, ensuring the turbines are maintained or that the solar panels work efficiently.
Have you ever wondered what it is like to work on an ACCIONA Energía project site? The team building the MacIntyre Wind Farm in Australia tells us more about their experience at one of the world's largest renewable energy facilities. The project, which will be operational in 2024, will generate clean electricity to supply around 700,000 homes and prevent the emission of around 3 million tonnes of CO2.
Carlene is a maintenance worker at ACCIONA Energía’s MacIntyre Wind Farm in Queensland. Carlene is from the local area and runs a small farm. She has found a great work-life balance dividing her time between the wind farm and her own business. “The money I earn from working at the wind farm gives me the money I need to look after my farm and my future,” says Carlene.
ACCIONA Energía’s Australian Graduates have officially started, celebrating their first day of work on the 16th of January. The group was excited to meet each other and are looking forward to the year ahead. Check out the video and learn more about what made them want to work for us!
