Community Engagement Committee
The MacIntyre Wind Farm Precinct Community Engagement Committee (CEC) represents the MacIntyre, Herries Range and Karara Energy Projects (the Project Precinct) during the construction and operations phases of these projects.
The CEC provides a forum for open discussion between ACCIONA Energía, the community and other stakeholders on issues directly relating to the wind farm’s construction activities, operations, and community relations, and to keep the community informed on matters affecting them relating to the Project.
Who is on the committee?
The committee is made up of a mix of people who live locally, are considered leaders in the community or are members of a stakeholder group (community, environment, First Nations, local council or industry).
What is the role of a committee member?
The role of a committee member is voluntary. They are expected to contribute constructively to committee discussions, attend around four meetings a year across the region, and facilitate the flow of information about the MacIntyre Wind Farm Precinct between the committee and the broader community.
For more detail about their responsibilities and governance you can read the MacIntyre Community Engagement Committee Guidelines.
