Community Engagement Committee

ACCIONA Energía has established a Community Engagement Committee (CEC) to provide a forum for open discussion between ACCIONA Energía, the community and other stakeholders on issues relating to the solar farm’s construction activities, operations, and community relations, and to keep the community informed on matters affecting them relating to the Project.

The membership of the committee comprises eight representatives, including an independent chairperson, six representatives who are considered active community representatives and reside with the Gladstone Regional Council area and two ACCIONA Energía company representatives.

Who is on the committee?

The committee is made up of a mix of people who live locally or are considered leaders in the community, or are members of a key stakeholder group (First Nations, community, environment, local council, or industry).

What is their role?

The role of the committee member is voluntary. You are expected to contribute constructively to committee discussions, attend approximately four meetings annually, and help facilitate the flow of information about the Aldoga Solar Farm between the committee and the broader committee.

For more detail about responsibilities and governance you can read the Aldoga Community Engagement Committee Guidelines.
