We recently attended the Shire-led wind farm consultation evening in Darkan. Along with other developers in the area, we presented on the Bellwether Wind Farm and answered questions from the community.

We valued the opportunity to learn from the community as they shared their key issues and benefits for the area regarding wind farms. The majority of those that attended the sessions were supportive of renewable energy, felt informed about wind farms and saw economic improvement as a key benefit of the projects.

We also noted that the key concerns about these projects were accommodation, decommissioning and community division. As the project progresses we will consult closely with community on these key concerns to ensure the benefits of our project are responding to them.
