The Wallaby Creek Wind Farm Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is currently on public exhibition. The application, environmental impact statement, and accompanying documents are on exhibition from Friday 17 April 2026 until Friday 15 May 2026. Information regarding the exhibition can be found on this webpage and on the NSW Government Major Projects website. Wallaby Creek Wind Farm is a proposed renewable energy project with generating capacity of between 217MW - 259MW. The proposed project, located on around 8,800 hectares of land in Narromine Shire, will consist of up to 38 wind turbines, battery storage, and associated infrastructure. The project is proposed to connect to Essential Energy’s 132kV Narromine South Switching Station, located approximately 10km north of the project.

The proposed location of the Project is northwest of the Newell Highway, approximately 3.5 km southwest of the town centre of Narromine at its closest point and 15 km north of the township of Tomingley, within the Orana region of NSW. The site is located on both sides of Tantitha and Pinedene Roads, in the Narromine Shire.
