Students and staff representing Gap State High School, Corinda State High School, Pine Rivers State High School and Wavell State High School recently had the opportunity to visit the MacIntyre Wind Farm as part of the Gap State High School’s Launch Camp program. This educational excursion, aimed at enhancing students' understanding of renewable energy industry and its projects, provided a comprehensive tour of the wind farm’s facilities.

Accompanied by their program patron, Member of Parliament Jonty Bush, the students learned about the intricacies of wind energy, the environmental benefits of renewable energy sources, and the technological advancements that make such projects possible. The visit also included an interactive session where students could ask questions and gain insights from industry experts into renewable energy industry careers.

We would like to thank MP Jonty Bush and all students and staff, particularly Head of Department Junior Schooling, Rex Bertrand, who arranged the Launch Camp.

We hope the visit enriched the students’ knowledge and inspired them to consider careers in sustainable energy and environmental conservation.
