Project Timeline

  • Timeline item 1 - active

    Feasibility and Investigations

The Project is currently at the planning stage.  Wind monitoring, environmental surveys, community engagement and technical investigations have commenced for the Project. These activities will assist in the refinement of the project design.

  • Timeline item 2 - incomplete

    Lodgement of Development Application

The project would require a Development Permit for a Materials Change of Use (Wind Farm) and Development Permit for Operational Works (Clearing Native Vegetation) under the Planning Act 2016 (Planning Act). As part of the application for the Development Permits, the merits of the project would be assessed against the provisions of State Codes 1, 16 and 23 within the State Development Assessment Provisions.

    •        State Code 16: Native Vegetation Clearing

    •        State Code 23: Wind Farm Development.

The project will also be referred to the Commonwealth Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) for potential impacts to Matters of National Environmental Significance (MNES).

  • Timeline item 3 - incomplete

    Anticipated Wind Farm Construction

Once the Development Application and EPBC approval have been obtained, the commencement of construction is anticipated to commence in 2025.

  • Timeline item 4 - incomplete

    Anticipated Operations Commencement

Once all the turbines and infrastructure has been constructed and the turbines are fully operational, the construction phase is deemed complete and commissioned, and the wind farm will then enter the operational and maintenance phase. This phase is anticipated to occur in 2027 or 2028.
